Refund Policy

Free Tier

SmoothSail offers a free tier ("Crew") with no payment required. No refunds apply to the free tier as no charges are incurred.

Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans ("Captain" and "Fleet") are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page.

14-Day Refund Window

If you are not satisfied with your paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal. Refund requests after 14 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation

When you cancel a subscription, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time remaining in a billing cycle, unless you are within the 14-day refund window.

Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions may be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, a pro-rated refund may be issued for unused full months remaining, at our discretion.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at billing@smoothsail.ai with your account email and the reason for your request. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days and returned to the original payment method.

Exceptions

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
  • Promotional or discounted subscriptions (unless otherwise stated)
  • Charges incurred more than 60 days prior to the refund request
